You can’t even get in your car anymore without getting shot.

“I had a friend from Cambodia.  She ate rats.  She also slept on a dirt floor.  She married an Army man and came to the U.S.  Her mother-in-law had to teach her EVERYTHING.”

She’ll have a hard time turning around back there because there’s no room to turn around back there.

I can’t believe someone would go on someone’s front porch and steal something.  But it happened to me.  Poor Richard had his bicycle stolen.

“I’d never want to win the lottery with that much money in it ($105 million).  That’s just too much money.  If I did win that much I wouldn’t quit my job.”

I pointed out that at a salary of $40 K a year with no taxes or other deductions taken out that it’d take 2,625 years to accumulate that much money.

“You just don’t know what to buy anymore. There’s no telling how much lead those kids had with their toys.  No telling how much lead YOU had growing up.”

You can’t even go out anymore without someone killing you.

Last week a child was run over (twice) by a hit and run driver who was later caught.  This morning,

I heard that baby run over by the car had a stroke.  And lots of broken bones.  My back hurts.

“Did you know when you bring candy to someone in a nursing home, the nurses steal it?”

and

“Something crazy is going on in Nashville.”

and

“A car hit a brick wall and hurt five people.  One had brain damage.”

I feel such heartache for the parents of the little girl who died in the car in Chattanooga because her father forgot she was there.  Can you imagine the tortured soul these parents will live with the rest of their lives?  Here’s the MiL’s take on it.

“They should shoot that old man. What an idiot.”
